OCHS People
Faculty and staff
The success of the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies is dependent on the work and dedication of its faculty and staff.
Faculty members play a significant role in students' lives – as teachers, advisors, and mentors – and have been instrumental in launching many a career. Apart from full time staff, the OCHS regularly hosts visiting fellows, including those under the highly successful Shivdasani Visiting Fellowship.
The staff at the Centre carry an ethos of service to the academic community and maintain a level of friendly professionalism that has become a hallmark of the Centre.
Students and alumni
Since its foundation, the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies has been host to a growing body of students from all over the world that have done the Centre proud. A measure of the Centre's success is in the number of alumni who have returned to the OCHS to host new research projects. In order to encourage students in the field of Hindu Studies, a number of Friends of the Centre have contributed bursaries and scholarships.
All OCHS students are first students of the University of Oxford. If you are studying at Oxford and would like to become a student at the OCHS, please contact us or drop in.
Interns
The Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies owes a lot to its interns, (mostly) young people with and attitude of service to the community who wish to develop skills and relationships within Hindu Studies and academia generally. Their enthusiasm is infectious and their contribution has been invaluable. If you or someone you know would like to intern at the OCHS, click here.
