Lucian Wong is a DPhil candidate in Theology at the University of Oxford, Faculty of Theology and Religion. He holds a BA in Philosophy from University College London and an MA in Indian Religions from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London. His doctoral thesis explores the theme of epistemic rupture in relation to the Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava tradition in colonial Bengal, with special reference to the life and thought of the prominent late nineteenth-century Vaiṣṇava figure Kedarnath Datta Bhaktivinod.
